Welcome, Gentlemen
Welcome to what I would consider the greatest idea we've ever come up with. The idea is simple: we created a fantasy league for professional wrestling, and it's going to work.
What it is:
1. This is a League comprised of 8 members: Kevin, Wyatt, Duck, Wells, Tyler, Jared, Semega and Gaz. At the start, each member is given a certain allotment of money. With this money, you will buy a total of 5 wrestlers (two that you are locked into for the entire month, 1 from Raw, 1 from Smackdown, 1 from Impact. The 3 that you aren't locked, will go back into the Locker Room for you to buy again for the upcoming week, if you want). The wrestlers chosen will be earning points for various accomplishments during the week (there will be clear examples of everything). Each Saturday, members will tally the points gathered by their wrestlers that week and whoever has the most points wins the week.
Value System:
1. Every wrestler from Raw, Smackdown and Impact will have a slot value given to them ranging anywhere from 0-100. This value is how much the wrestlers will cost you to pick up each week.
2. With every event, your wrestler will gain or lose value. Scoring goes as such:
-A Win will is worth 20 points
-A Loss is -15, but lose by Disqualification and it's -25 on your ass
-If your wrestler hits his finisher, that is 5 points
-If he is seen outside of the ring at all during the night, cutting a promo, jumping someone, anything, that is a Charisma bonus and is worth 5 points (Multiple appearances don't count, 1 time use only).
- A Successful title defense is worth 10 points
- If your wrestler fails to appear at all during their night, that is -10
- If your wrestler challenges for a title and wins, that is 50 total points. No bonuses, just 50 points.
2. You're going have to be paying attention to your wrestler to add these points up. The points that your wrestler gains during the week, adds to his value when he goes back into the Locker Room and also YOUR points for the week (again, there will be examples).
Your Stable
During the draft, you will have to fill 5 positions. Say this is my hypothetical stable:
Chris Jericho
A.J. Styles
Evan Bourne (Raw)
Kofi Kingston (Smackdown)
Jesse Neal (Impact)
During the Week, you will pay attention to your wrestler. And at the end of the week, your stable could look like:
Chris Jericho- +30 total (+20 for a win, +5 for for hitting his finisher and +5 for cutting a promo during raw)
A.J. Styles- -10 total (-15 for a loss, +5 for cutting a promo)
Evan Bourne- -10 total (-10 for a non appearance)
Kofi Kingston- +25 total (20 for a win, 5 for hitting finisher)
Jesse Neal- +10 total (10 for being on a winning tag team, but not getting the pin.)
In total, I would have 45 points on the week and I'll have to wait to see what my opponent does to see if I win.
Each New Week
On Saturday, after all the events for the week are done, you will "sell" your 3 wrestlers back and get their worth back. If they gained points during the week, their value goes up AND YOUR WORTH goes up as well. If you play the game correctly, you should be able to acquire a formidable stable within your budget. That's where the goddamn strategy is.
Getting your new wrestlers
Each week, you're going to pick up three new wrestlers (1 from Raw, 1 from Smackdown, 1 from Impact). When you learn who your opponent is going to be, your respective points from the previous week will determine who gets to pick first. Scenario: Person A won their match-up against person C and Person B beat Person D, and A matching up against B this upcoming week. If person A finished the previous week with 65 points, and person B finished with 70, person A must wait until B picks. This is because WITHIN your respective match-up, the same wrestler CANNOT be be used twice.
